The Simatai Great Wall is a part of the Great Wall of China that is located in the northern area of Miyun District, about 120 kilometers northeast of central Beijing.

Originally built during the Northern Qi dynasty (550–577) and later rebuilt during the Ming dynasty, the Simatai Great Wall is divided into two parts by a valley. The western part has a gentle slope and has 13 watchtowers that are in good condition. The eastern part, on the other hand, is much steeper and has rougher terrain, including cliffs and sharp peaks.

The Great Wall at Simatai showcases various architectural styles and designs used to build the Great Wall, such as walls that run along narrow ridges and towers with multiple levels, different floor plans, windows, and roof and door designs.

A ten-tower stretch of Great Wall on the eastern side of Simatai is open to visitors, and can be reached by cable car or by walking. The other parts of the Great Wall in this area are currently not open to visitors. To access the Great Wall at Simatai, visitors go through the Gubei Shuizhen, a large tourist resort that is also a popular attraction on its own.
